Tibet Tour 12 Days
This unforgettable adventure will take you to some of the most stunning locations in Tibet, where you will be awed by the breathtaking landscapes, cultural treasures, and spiritual significance of this unique destination.
The tour begins in Kathmandu, where you will spend a few days exploring the ancient temples, bustling markets, and scenic viewpoints of the Nepalese capital.
After a brief stopover in Kathmandu, the tour will take you on a scenic drive through the Himalayas to the Tibetan border. From there, you will enter Tibet and spend the next few days exploring some of the most iconic sights in the region, including the Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, and Barkhor Street in Lhasa, the capital of Tibet.
Beyond Lhasa, the tour will take you on an adventure across the stunning Tibetan Plateau, where you will have the opportunity to witness some of the most breathtaking natural landscapes in the world, from the vast expanse of the Yamdrok Lake to the towering peaks of Mount Everest. You will also have the opportunity to explore traditional Tibetan villages, meet local communities, and learn about the unique cultural heritage of this fascinating region.
With all logistics taken care of, including transportation, accommodation, and meals, you can sit back and relax as you journey through one of the most spectacular destinations in the world.
New Visa Rules & Regulations for Tibet Tour from Nepal. As per the new rules and regulations from the Chinese embassy in Nepal, to obtain a Tibet group visa, it is required that there must be a minimum of 05 people in the group. Additionally, the visa application process in Kathmandu requires the submission of the original passport and may take 04-05 official working days to complete. Furthermore, clients who wish to obtain a Tibet group visa will need to visit the China visa application center in person to provide biometric information. Please also note that visa requirements and regulations can change frequently. It is also important to note that Tibet visa requirements and regulations can be changed frequently; we suggest you make sure with the Chinese Embassy before you book the Tibet tour/Kailash Tour.
Itinerary
You will be warmly greeted by Well Nepal at your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA), Kathmandu. Our representative will be waiting just in front of the arrival door at TIA and then you will be picked and escorted to the hotel. Enjoy Overnight at hotel. Enjoy Dinner service.
This is your Kathmandu sightseeing day and preparation day too. You will visit the famous Swayambunath temple, Bhaktapur Durbar square and other beautiful places of Kathmandu. If you need anything before heading out then you have to shop on this day. Here a short briefing about the trip is given and pre-tour discussion is done with the tour leader and members. Feel free to ask any questions regarding your tour.
Early in the morning scenic drive to Kerung Border (Nepal-Tibet Border) through the beautiful Nepalese countryside and after necessary border formalities at Nepalese immigration, an hour adventurous uphill drive by Bus & Van (normally) or 2 hour walks uphill (in case of landslide to Chinese immigration, check-in to hotel or Continue drive to Kerung. Day drive uphill to the highest plateau of the world with the typical view of Tibetan landscape offering sheer feeling of standing on the roof of the world. from where, weather permitting, breathtaking panorama of beautiful Himalayan ranges including Mt Cho Oyu (8201 M) & Mt Xishapagma (8012M) but dwarfed by the Vastness of the Tibetan plateau. From TINGRI, one can enjoy the magnificence of Mt. Everest (8,848 M). Stay overnight at Guest House
Continue scenic drive crossing Over Gyatchu La (5,220M), the highest pass en route to Lhasa via Lhatse from where a road to Mt Kailash bifurcates to the west. Stay overnight at Yak hotel.
Morning sightseeing to the Panchen Lama’s Tashilhumpu Monastery. Drive to Gyantse and visit to the Kumbum Stupa & Phalkor Monastery. Full day picturesque drive crossing over Karola (5,010m), Kambala (4,749m), Colorful Yamdrok-Tso Lake and the Tibetan lifeline river Brahma Putra (Yarlung Tsangpo) – Stay overnight at Flora Hotel.
Two full days sightseeing tour to Lhasa including Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Bazaar, And Potala Palace Drepung & Sera Monasteries. Stay overnight at Hotel.
