Tharpu Chuli Peak Climbing

Be a part of our adventurous trek and climb to Tharpu Chuli, also called as Tent Peak at Annapurna region. Tharpu chuli or Tent Peak standing tall at an altitude of 5663 meters is situated at the south of Annapurna Base Camp. Upon reaching the summit the stunning panoramic views of glorious Himalayan ranges of Annapurna region can be seen like it’s just in front of our eyes. The attraction of this amazing trip is not limited to only peak climbing. Trekking through the most popular Annapurna circuit trails is another major attraction that you just can’t miss out. Passing through beautiful forests, chirping sound of birds, blossoming flowers, majestic Himalayas and warm welcome from local inhabitants would certainly make you bedazzled. Short and comparatively easy Tharpu Chuli peak climbing along with trekking in Annapurna region is the ideal adventurous activity to perform during your holidays in Nepal.

We commence our Tharpu chuli peak climbing after arriving at beautiful city of Pokhara. We trek through Ghorepani, Poonhill which offers the awesome sunrise views of Mt. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Fishtail (Machhapuchre) and others. Perceiving the Gurung culture and lifestyle in Gurung village at Chhomrong, we move ahead towards the Annapurna base camp (ABC). Struggling against the glaciated mountain passes, we reach at Tharpu Chuli Peak base camp. After successfully summiting the Tharpu chuli Peak climbing we return to Machhapuchre  Base Camp and trek back to bamboo. Then after trekking further towards Samrung we drive towards Pokhara and back to Kathmandu.

Itinerary

White Himalayan Adventure Treks representative will be there to greet you at Tribhuvan International Airport and take you to your hotel, followed by a briefing covering information, dos and don’ts of your trek and peak climbing.

You can do some last minute shopping around Thamel ,we will prepare all the documents needed for peak climbing and arrange staffs.

Our journey begins with a 6-7 hour drive toward the Pokhara Valley and its beautiful Phewa Tal (lake) and then checking in to your hotel close to Phewa Tal.

Pitch and off-road drive to Samrung via Nayapul.Trek to Chhomrong(2170m) via Jhinu Dada.

 

Trek from Chhomrong to Himalaya (2920m) via Sinuwa,Bamboo and Dovan- 5-6 hours

From Himalaya you will begin your trek, which initially follows a steep ascent through the forested trail. The trail continues along the Modi Khola river and offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains.After a few hours of trekking, you will reach Deurali, a beautiful spot that offers panoramic views of the Annapurna massif. From Deurali, you will continue your trek towards MBC. The trail takes you through the beautiful Himalayan landscape, with views of snow-capped peaks and glaciers. The trail can be steep at times, but the views and scenery more than make up for the effort.

Medical professionals recommend that before heading to higher elevations that trekkers spend some time acclimatizing. They also recommend staying active. We will stay overnight at MBC and prepare for climbing to higher elevations.

Today we head higher for five to six hours before reaching Cave Camp where we stay overnight.

A four to five-hour trek takes us to High Camp where we stay overnight.

Today is the day we have been waiting for as we get up early for a nine to ten-hour climb to Tharpu Chuli Peak and from there spend some time taking in some of the finest views in the entire Annapurna region. After some time to click away from some photos and rest a little, we will head back down to High Camp for the night.

Today’s trek of four to five hours is naturally less strenuous as we head down to Machapuchare Base Camp for the night.

The trail today descends more and more for five to six hours before reaching our overnight stopover at Dovan.

Again another six hours trek as we head to Jhinu Dada for the night.

20 minutes walk from Jhinu Dada to Samrung . Off-road and Pitch road drive from Samrung to Pokhara-Approx 3 hours drive (If guest want to do sightseeing we will provide sightseeing package as per guest’s request)

Today we head back on a 6 to 7 hour drive to Kathmandu with many fond memories of Nepal and its unique culture and geography. These memories will last a lifetime!

White Himalayan Adventure Treks staff will transfer you to the airport for your final departure from Nepal.
